We are happy to help.
Here are the water fountain locations: –
South Terminal departure lounge, on the lower level in the toilets next to Harrods.
South Terminal arrivals, in the immigration hall outside the toilets before going through the UK border.
North Terminal security, two fountains on the right-hand side of the entrance to World Duty Free.

There is also a water fountain upstairs by the toilets between WHSmith and the Grain store cafe, directly in front of the Boots pharmacy.

We travelled through Gatwick North Terminal on Wednesday (20th June) and my wife decided to get a sandwich to take on the plane at WHSmith, if you buy a meal deal it is far cheaper BUT we did not need the plastic bottles of water because we had filled our own at the fountain just after security. My wife argued with the till operator but she had to take the bottles and we gave them away in the queue when boarding. Come on WHSmith help reduce plastic waste and stop this stupid practice, why oh why do we have to take a plastic bottle of water to get a cheaper sandwich ?

There are two water fountains in North Terminal, they are after Security BEFORE you go into the duty free shop on the left hand side, yesterday (2nd Jan 2018) the one with the drinking spout was broken, but the other one to fill a bottle was working.
There is a water fountain in the North Terminal departures lounge in the Special Assistance area. It’s set about 2’ off the ground and is obviously intended for children and people in wheelchairs — I had to kneel to use it. But it’s strong, cold and works 🙂

North Terminal departures, there is a water fountain at the “Pure” coffee shop on the upper floor. They told me anyone could fill up for free, they even have sparkling water!!
#plasticfree @Gatwick_AirportThere is a water fountain by the toilets next to the small duty free shop. South Terminal departures upper level.
London Gatwick North – Departures, May 2022
The refill fountain immediately on entry into Departures, in the Special Assistance area had very good flow and no queues as a result.
The fountain & refiller next to the Kids Zone / across from WHSmiths on the way to Gate 45 is very well signposted however was VERY slow flowing – resulting in a long queue. Until the flow on that one is fixed, it would be quicker to circle back to the entry one before heading off to the Gates. A stressy queue when you’re trying to get to the Gate is no fun!
#plasticfree @Gatwick_AirportThere is a no touch water fountain and bottle filler at the toilets in the departure lounge behind the Kids Zone to the left of the big WH Smith on the lower level of the North Terminal on the way to Gates 45
#plasticfree @Gatwick_AirportAs you enter departures right before security there is this sign, it is sad to watch passengers throw their plastic bottles in the bins instead of emptying them and refiling in departures. Gatwick has lots of refilling stations.
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @Gatwick_AirportThe fountain on the right as you come through security at Gatwick North is still there; before the entrance to Duty Free. But if you miss that, there’s another fountain on the left through the entrance on the way to Gates 45-55, 101-113 and lounges.
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @Gatwick_AirportGatwick North Terminal needs a quiet zone, until I’ll keep finding my own. Credit where it’s due on the water fountain though, well signposted and contactless.
