Just some text to accompany the images provided by the airport and already on the site:

To find the water fountain in the Departures area, go through security then all the way to the end of the Departures area, past Burger King on your right. Turn right following signs for B gates. There is a new passport check to access the B gates and the water fountain is by the toilets on the right just before this check.

I visited yesterday and was able to fill a bottle quite easily. I can also confirm that the water tastes much better than what comes out of the basin taps in the toilets!

“There is a water fountain in Departures at Alicante Airport, Spain. After going through security keep going towards the far end of the Departure lounge, the fountain is on the right hand side between the Express Duty Free and the toilet”

Yes there are currently temporary hoardings but the fountain is the toilet side of them and still accessible. Water is chilled too which is a bonus and can fill a bottle. Thanks

The water fountain at B gates was out of order today 16 Nov 2023 but there is a “Free Water” station on the right hand side (green sign) just after the tills for the main duty free. Worked perfectly 👍🏻

lovely cold water fountain the second you go through bag search, right before the first entrance for the duty free shop.

It’s a fountain for drinking. Very difficult to even half fill a bottle.

The water fountain is currently unavailable due to an electric fault? Possibly just a covid precaution, but the Sports bar situated close by does a small bottle of water for 1€. Visited 16th October 2020.

Hi there

Last week (end January 2020) the whole wing of the departures area where the fountain is located was closed due to remodelling after the fire in mid-January. Not sure about the fountains on the other floors, but after you’re in departures there’s no way to get there so…
