Today I used two water fountains – one landslide in departures and a second near gate B13.

Hi, there is a drinking fountain before gate A37, coming from the central shopping area, after the toilets, in a corner on the right hand side. We’ve used it yesterday to fill our bottles and I saw an other one on the way to A30, in the passport control queue.

Can confirm there is a water fountain by A11. There is another one in departures that we used on our first visit which I believe may have been on the floor below.

Theres one in terminal C near gate C37
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @ATH_airportCan confirm, there is a water fountain near gate B13
#plasticfree @ATH_airportThere’s still a fountain at A11 in 2024
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @ATH_airportThe one near B13 is still working 😉
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @ATH_airportIn arrivals there is a fountain after you’ve collected your bags. Turn left after going through the door after baggage claim and at the end around the corner by the toilets there is a fountain
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @ATH_airportThis is the number of water fountains in our Main Terminal Building.
In departures after Security there are 4 water fountains, there are also
4 drinking fountains before security and in arrivals there are 11 water fountains.
As we speak today. However, as of end May ‘18, our STB (Satellite Terminal Building) will also be operational, currently undergoing modifications and works. This will increase the number, adding at least 4 water fountains in the STB areas (all after security)

I have just come through security and I cannot find any. I asked staff and they didn’t know where they were either.
Good afternoon 😊 We do have water fountains located in the arrivals level as well as the ones in departures 2 in the public area, 2 in the baggage reclaim area (belts 2 and 12) and 1 in the intra Schengen transfer area.

Thank you…cold and clean just at c37 seating area
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @ATH_airportThere’s also a water fountain between B17b and B18 🙂
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @ATH_airportAs of October 2024 the water fountains are not functional anymore. I went to the one at the A11 gate and it was closed. I asked around and was told that all water fountains stopped working. But, the Starbucks next to A11 has some 500 ml water bottles for 60 cents!
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @ATH_airportWhere are the drinking water fountains located in arrivals at Athens airport?
Sorry but we don’t know, our focus is mainly on departures but are happy to include arrivals, maybe @ATH_airport can help

They’re not very well sign posted but they do seem to exist. I found one just after gate C34, near the bathrooms before passport control.

No more water fountains in the departure area as of November 25 2024.
#plasticfree #BeatPlasticPollution @ATH_airportAs of 22nd Jan 2025, there is a working water fountain outside the toilets at Gate 11
