      This is from the hongkongairport.com website, there is no mention of “free water” is if anyone knows please let us know.

      Over 50 water drinking fountains are available throughout the terminals. In additional, hot drinking water facilities are also available in the following locations in the restricted area.

      Terminal 1 :
      Near Gate 1, Level 6, Departures Level
      Near Gate 15, Level 6, Departures Level
      Near Gate 26, Level 6, Departures Level
      Near Gate 34, Level 6, Departures Level
      Near Gate 44, Level 6, Departures Level
      Near Gate 61, Level 6, Departures Level
      Near 4.3 Female Toilet, Level 4, Departures Level
      Near Transfer Area E2, Level 5, Arrival Level

      North Satellite Concourse : Near Female Toilet, Level 5, Departures Level

      SkyPier : Opposite to Berth No. 5 & No.6, Level 4, Departures Level

        There are plenty of water fountains at HKIA, also some machines dispensing cold and hot water, even ice sometimes. The airport is huge, though, so fill up when you have the chance, in case the machine near your gate isn’t working.
