As of today, there is a water refill station immediately after the security checks. It’s in the corridor that goes to the duty free area, so between security check and the automatic stairs.
It’s probably next to the lifts but I don’t recall for sure. Close to it there is also the cheapest water vending machine of the airport: 1€ for the 500ml bottle (in case they move the water refill station again).

No water fountains anymore due to the pandemic, but the water in the bathrooms is fine, and even has a water safety chart with chlorine levels etc if you’re not convinced.

Definitely no water fountains at Porto airport July 12th 2022. Burger king wanted to charge 1 euro 95 next door found a jug of water for free. Told to use the public toilets. Not good enough Porto we are not allowed to bring water in.

I couldn’t find any free described water dispenser. Cheapest water in a bottle was in a shop “replay” for 1,30€ between gates 31 to 33.

I confirm, this water point still exists (Aug2024). Directly after security, turning left, join the queue on the left. One out of two free dispensers operational, offering sparkling, room temperature and cooled water for free.

As of today, there are still two free water fountains right after going through security on the left hand side. Only the left fountain is operational. The handling of the machine is surprisingly complicated, there are 7 buttons, the button for chilled water is the second from the the right in the lower row. There was a long line of travellers in front of me and the fountain would just stop working for a while, presumably because the chilled water had run out. That doesn’t mean the machine is broken, just keep pushing the buttons and water will start flowing in a minute or so.

In the Gate area of Departures, after Security, there is a water fountain between Gates 31 and 32 next to a big clock and close to a shop called Sunglasses Hut. You can refill your bottle and sit and sip water while listening to free Portuguese live music if you are lucky!

There is a water fountain when you walk in the direction of Gate 14-21 next to the Lacoste store (August 28, 2022). I didn’t see any other water fountains.
